Elisa Sophia Foltyn is President of Open Source Matters, the non-profit organization behind Joomla. As a media designer, graduate communications professional, author, and developer of her own Joomla extensions, she brings a combination of creative, strategic, and technical expertise that she has been contributing to the Joomla community for over 20 years.
As owner of COOLCAT creations in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany, she and her team supports businesses and organizations in building modern websites, developing thoughtful SEO strategies, and creating accessible web experiences. Her work at the intersection of open-source community and agency practice makes her a hands-on voice for sustainable web development.
Elected as OSM President earlier this year, Elisa has just begun her term in office. Her focus areas include community building, transparent open-source governance, and advancing Joomla as a future-ready platform. Web accessibility is a cause she is particularly passionate about.
